The Dragon Pickaxe requires 60 [[Attack]] in order to wield. However, it requires a [[Mining]] level of 61 to use it as a pickaxe. In terms of mining, it is the third best pickaxe in the game, tied with the [[3rd age pickaxe]], and the [[Gilded dragon pickaxe]].

Although it can be used as a weapon, due to its terrible stats it is suggested to use anything else.

==Skilling Store==
The Dragon Pickaxe can be purchased for 400 skilling points from the [[Skilling points exchange shop]].

==Skilling Prestige Store==
Players can buy a Dragon Pickaxe from the [[Skilling prestige store]] for 1,000 skilling prestige points.

==Killing NPC's==
There are plenty of NPC's that drop the Dragon Pickaxe. Every type of dragon has a chance to drop the Pickaxe, including the [[King black dragon]], and [[Frost dragon]]s. The only non-dragon NPC's that drop the Dragon Pickaxe are [[Callisto]], and [[Venenatis]].

==Thieving Stalls==
Players have a small chance of stealing a Dragon Pickaxe from the silver stall located in the [[Edgeville]] market place.

=Upgrading the Pickaxe=
You can upgrade the Dragon Pickaxe with 600 [[Perfect dragon scale]]s to turn it into a [[Dragon pickaxe (superior)]], or 1,000 [[Perfect dragon scale]]s to turn it into an [[Infernal pickaxe]]. Both upgraded versions are far better than the ordinary Dragon Pickaxe.
